A few weeks ago, the library was happy to welcome Mr. Adelizzi's English classes. They visited the library, had a chance to get a thorough library orientation, and also opportunities to think about, share, and discuss their experiences as readers.
Reading is often such a SOLITARY activity, and we were excited to think about common experiences and habits we have, as readers. Students talked about what a GOOD reading experience feels like, the challenges in selecting a new book, how they decide what to read next, and the types of emotions that different books might ignite for them. Students also had an opportunity to select and borrow independent reading books from our collection. We're so glad that they were able to visit, get comfortable in the library, and really reflect on their reading experiences!
