Our students need a cart to display/transport our Makerspace supplies, a green screen to take great library photos, bullet journals to keep students organized, and supplies for our Makerspace and for learning to draw Manga. We'd love your support of our Donorschoose project! In March, a Manga artist is visiting our library and giving a workshop on the anime style of drawing and our students want to practice this style of drawing too!Since our Visual Arts department has a digital focus, it's crucial that student have a chance to learn new drawing techniques and we want to have materials available then (and afterwards) to support their interest. For this reason, I have added specialized markers and paper to our requests. We can really use another cart to keep our Makerspace supplies organized and easier to transport. We also hope to host a workshop on Bullet Journals, an easy way for students to stay organized. These notebooks will allow students to try out this technique! We can use some patterned duct tape for our Makerspace in the spring, as well as additional supplies for our crocheting unit and embroidery unit (both of which were surprisingly popular!) Finally, we also think the addition of a green screen will enhance the ways our library can engage students with media.
